HUGE Collective Haul!

HEY GUYS! Hope all your February vacations are going well. So far mine has been very quiet and I've just been trying to take it easy and relax. That's why I haven't been posting in the past week...sorry. To make it up to you guys I thought I would do a little shopping (I know so generous right...haha) and then do a collective haul! So lets get right into it!
The first place I went to was Forever 21. The only things that I bought there was an adorable ivory knit top and a pair of jeans. I love these two items for a casual outfit and also mixing and matching.

The next store I stopped at was Sephora. While I was there I bought a box of brush guards and a primer trio of Tarte's Clean Slate Primers. As soon as I use these products I will do a review for you guys.

The next store I stopped in was Target. I got a few more things here than the other stores. First I got the Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3 in 1 foundation. There was such a huge hype about this product so I am going to try it out more and give a review on it. I also got a couple of mascaras. First was the Maybelline the Colossal Volum' Express in waterproof. I've tried this before and I remember liking it. However that was a long time ago and I think my feelings have changed. The second mascara I got was the L'Oreal Paris Voluminous Waterproof. This is the first time I've used it and I don't know if I like it. Again I will be doing reviews on both of these mascaras. Another thing I got was the Orabrush. I really like this so far and surprise surprise I will do a review on it. I will also be doing a review on the Colgate Optic White toothpaste that I also got at Target. I also wanted a new wallet so I looked through the purse section and found this really cute camel colored wallet.

The next store I went to was Rite Aid. I just got some essentials that I needed. The first thing is the TRESemme thermal Creations Heat protection. I've heard good things about this and really needed a heat protectant. The next thing is an eye makeup remover. I got the Rite Aid brand that is supposed to be comparable to the Neutrogena Oil-free one which I really like. I also got some boring cotton rounds and makeup remover towelettes. I also needed a makeup mirror so I got a cheap one by Conair. And lastly I got the Wet n Wild Mega Eyes Cream Eyeliner. Want a review? Well you're gettin' one.

I also went to Claire's. I thought to myself "How many years has it been since I've shopped at Claire's?" and realized it had been a lifetime, so I decided to check out was was new. I then realized walking in why I haven't shopped there in years...CHEAP. However I did find two things that I really like. I got a doughnut (to make the "perfect" bun) and I got a bun wrap. I can't wait to rock this look!

And finally the last store I went to was Victoria's Secret. I love this store. So the only thing I got was a black bra. Simple...nothing special. But I thought I would share it anyway.

Hope you all enjoyed this haul! Let me know in the comments if you guys enjoy hauls and also let me know if you guys want me to try out something and review it.

Thank you all so much!

Review: Maybelline New York Great Lash Clear Mascara

Hey guys what's up?! Hope you're all as excited as I am for tomorrow! Haha. So today I wanted to review for you all the Maybelline New York Great Lash Clear mascara. I love this product. It doesn't seem like much when you're looking at it in the store but then you acutally start to use it and realize how handy it is.

I use this product for multiple things. First off I use it as a brow gel. It works great at this. Ill brush the eyeshadow or pencil onto my brows and then I'll put a very small amount of the clear mascara on and it makes my brows last for hours! I also enjoy using this clear mascara for any flyaways that I have. It's perfect for that but just make sure again to use a small amount or your hair will look shiny and crunchy. Not cute! This is also a great "starting out" mascara. If you are young or new to makeup, then starting out with a clear mascara will define each lash and make them a bit darker, but it won't be as drastic as never wearing mascara and then the next day your lashes are pitch black!
Hope you enjoyed this short little review on the Maybelline Great Lash Clear mascara. Tell me down below what you guys use clear mascara for!

Thank you all so much!

Review: Maybelline New York Cover Stick

Hey Guys! Today I am going to be reviewing for you all the Maybelline New York Cover Stick concealer. I bought this product about three months ago from Ulta and surprisingly haven't used it all that much until about a month and a half ago. Since my using it though I believe that this is a pretty good concealer. I bought two in the colors Ivory and White. I will admit that I am not in love with these concealers. I have to be careful with how much I put on because it can cake up fast. And that ain't cute! However I will say that the color payoff is I think really good. The concealer sticks are creamy, apply easily, and blend out nicely.

The Ivory shade isn't Ivory at all. In fact it is darker than me (someone with a bit darker skin than ivory). If you have a slight tan I think this shade might work for you but if you do in fact have ivory colored skin, I would buy the color White. When I first saw this color I got kind of scared because it really does look white. I bought thinking "Oh I can just wear this under my eyes or as a highlight" but now that I look at it on my skin, it's not all that white. In fact it has a very nice pink undertone to it.

I think that if you're new to makeup or just need a cheaper concealer then this can work for you. Please comment down below and tell me your thoughts on this product!

Thank you all so much!

Review: Neutrogena Skin Clearing Oil Free Makeup

Hey guys! Long time no type! Today I thought I would give you guys a review on the Neutrogena Skin Clearing Oil Free foundation. This is the foundation that I am currently using so I thought it would be helpful to give my opinion on this since not a ton of people talk about this foundation.

This bottle contains 1 FL OZ. (30 mL)
In the drugstore this will run about $12

First of the color I am (sort of) is number 20 natural ivory. I say sort of because it's not a perfect match but it's not so off that I can't wear it. Anyway so the four main points that I want to cover with this foundation are coverage, blendability, color selection, and lasting power. For each of the main points that I am going to cover I will include a score from 1-10 (1 being bad, 10 being great).
Coverage:
The coverage with this foundation, I would say, is about light to medium. Nothing more than that. So my suggestion is that if you have decent skin with mild acne then this might be the foundation for you. However if you have a ton of dark blemishes or acne that you want to cover, than this is not for you.
Score: 4
Blendability:
The blendability with this foundation is overall okay. It's not terribly hard to blend out this foundation, but it's not the easiest to blend either.
Score: 5
Color selection:
I believe that this type of foundation only comes with six colors total. I am not completely sure so don't quote me or anything but from what I've seen in the stores and online, the color selection is pretty slim. Unfortunately this is a problem for many so hopefully if you've been wanting to try this foundation out you can find you color. As I said "my color" isn't even my color (if that makes any sense) so I'm kind of disappointed with this.
Score: 5
Lasting power:
Overall I think that this foundation lasts a good amount of time. After my classes I will come home and then take off my makeup to workout so I usually don't need my foundation to last that long. However on the days that I go to work, I still find most of the foundation is still on my face. I say most because this definitely does not stay on my face all that well but I blame that on my oily skin.
Score: 6

Wow! Now that I look at all the scores that I gave this foundation, I kind of realized that I'm not such a huge fan. I don't hate this foundation by any means. I think for a casual going to school/work/friends house day, this is a perfectly fine foundation.

Thank you all so much!

Money Saving Face Primer!

Hey hey hey! Just thought I'd do a quick review today on a product that sounds really weird at first but I have grown to love. This product is the Monistat Chafing Relief Powder- Gel.

This bottle contains 1.5 oz (42g) of product.

It claims to relieve chafing by the inner thigh and bikini area. I don't actually know if this works for that purpose because I don't use it on my thighs, I use it on my face. Yes, I said it, my face. At this point some of you are probably wanting to exit out right now but don't be weirded out. I've been using this on my face for a little less than a year now and I have to say, this product is a GREAT face primer.
It does the same thing that a "real" face primer would do except, you know, it's not made for your face. Don't worry thought I haven't had any weird reactions or breakouts from this, it's completely safe.
What I do is, after I wash my face and moisturize, I put about a medium blueberry sized dot on my finger tip and then lightly rub it all over my finger tips. Then I'll put the powder-gel on my right finger tips on my forehead and I'll then put the rest on the rest of my face.
This product evens out my skin texture while also minimizing some shine that I already have on my skin. If you want a no/little makeup day, primer is definitely something you can skip. But for a day you will be wearing foundation I do think it's a really good idea to keep some primer in your makeup stash.
The great thing about this product is that it does the same thing that a "real" primer does while also (generally) being cheaper than a drugstore primer.
I recommend that you all try this product out to see if you like it just as much as I do!

Thank you all so much!

Review: Maybelline New York Define A Brow!

Hey guys what's up? Hope the beginning of your week has been going well so far. Today I thought I would review a product that I've been using for quite some time now and it is the Maybelline New York Define A Brow eyebrow filler pencil. I really like this product. It is a twist up pencil stick in a green tube with a brush at the end and a brown cap. I think for the price, this is an awesome product. It makes my brows look full and youthful and best of all natural. It stays for hours and for me that's all I really need. I know that even on a little to no makeup day, brushing some of this on my brows will instantly give me a "put together" look. I really recommend that you all try this product. Even if you are really experienced with brow filling or you're just starting out, this is a really good product to try.
Tip: use a brush with harder bristles to best apply this. DON'T just use the stick itself and brush it on or it won't look natural.

Thank you all so much!

Update on My Life!

Hey guys hope you're all having a very happy Friday! I know that I'm super glad that it's the end of the week. So today I was thinking about doing a review but I decided to save that for another day. Today I want to give you all a little inside scoop on my life. As you might know from my "New Year's Resolutions" post, one of my goals for this year is to lose some weight and get fit. I want to live a long and happy life and exercising and eating right is the way I'm gonna get there!
So on Monday the 21st I started a whole new workout routine that before recently, I never saw myself doing. It's harder than any other at home workout I have ever done. And believe me I've done plenty. This workout is rough, tough, and it's completely mind blowing. It's crazy, it's exhausting, and I'll give you a hint as to what it is...It's INSANE. That's right. If you haven't guessed the workout by now, it is the INSANITY by Shaun T workout.
Let me tell you all a little bit about the INSANITY workout. First off as I said...it's tough...really tough. It combines cardio, strength training and so on to get you an insanely ripped and toned body. It utilizes interval training (quickening your heartbeat and then slowing your heartbeat) to get the best results. I can see from Shaun T himself but also from the other people working out with him (in the videos) that you really do see amazing results. However I will say this...you cannot just decide one day "I think I'm gonna do the INSANITY workout. Sounds like fun!" Yeaaaaah.....NO. You can't expect to go from couch potato to the next day doing these workouts. They are really, really hard and they seriously recommend that you consult your doctor before starting this workout. I'm not trying to discourage you if you've been wanting to try this workout system out, but it is a warning to all. You should be in at least (In my non-professional opinion) okay shape to start these workouts.
So when I got these videos I'm not gonna lie I was actually scared. I procrastinated and procrastinated and then procrastinated some more and then...I started the workout...
The first day was a toughie. And so was the second. The third...yeah kinda. But now I'm on my fourth day although it was ALL cardio today, I have to say, it's getting progressively easier to do. I can't wait until the two months are over to see my results, but I actually look forward to going home everyday and working out (something I never thought I would say). But hey, as Elle so nicely put it "Exercise gives you endorphins. Endorphins make you happy." And it's so true. I feel good after my workout (despite the aches, pains, and fatigue) and I'm so proud of myself for doing something good for my body.
I 100% recommend to people (who are capable) to start this INSANE workout. From just four days I feel better than I have in a long time. Thank you Shaun, and thank you INSANITY!
Let me know in the comments down below if you guys are interested in my "getting fit" journey and want to see my new measurements and weights.

Thank you all so much!

Review: E.L.F. Waterproof Eyeliner Pen

Hey guys! I've got a really quick review for today! I'm reviewing the e.l.f. waterproof eyeliner pen in black. I picked this up at I believe Target and I was excited because I've been wanting to find a cheap pen eyeliner. Anyway so when I opened up the cap I thought that it would be a great product. The pen tip was fine enough that a thin line wouldn't be impossible and thick lines would be easy. I then swatched it on my hand to see the pigmentation and color and both were great.
After seeing how good the product was so far I was so excited to wear it on my eye. So I started to apply it and it dried out after about four seconds! This product is horrible! Yes the line is pigmented and easily applied on the hand, but it is not pigmented on the eye and it definitely isn't easily applied.
I was so upset that this product didn't work and to make things worse, I took the then dried swatches on my hand and rubbed them gently (with very little water) and they smudged sooo much! REALLY?!

Before I gently rubbed with minimal water.
After I gently rubbed with minimal water.

This is a definite thumbs down for me. Sorry e.l.f., some of your products are great, but this is definitely not one of them.
Oh well. My search for another cheap eyeliner pen continues. Comment down below and tell me if you guys have found a really good (preferably waterproof) eyeliner pen. Until next time!

Thank you all so much!

Haul- Victoria's Secret BBW & More!

Hey guys! I know I'm a day late but I was out late last night spending time with my grandpa and there was no time to do this when I got back. Anyway today I am (finally) doing part 3 of my 3 part haul series. Yes I am sad that all the shopping is over, but I am really happy with all of my purchases!
So yesterday at the mall the first place I shopped at was Victoria's Secret. It's their semi-anual sale so better get on that! Anyway, I needed new underwear so I got five pairs. It was great because they were having the five for $26 deal. I love every single pair that I bought and I really wanted more but I'm content with what I got. Each pair I bought is a different color. The underwear are cotton with lace trimming and they're really cute.

VS had many many more options to pick from
for the five for $26 deal so don't think this
is the only style/color etc.
Oh and VS pink has the same deal for their
underwear too so definitely check it out!

The next store I went to was Bath and Body Works! I love that store but I didn't spend much time because I had to go see my grandpa. So I was looking around and I realized that I had never tried any of their candles. I was really curious so I started to look around and I fell in love. Especially with frosted cupcake and mahogany teakwood. They are absolutely (so far) my favorite! Frosted cupcake smells like vanilla bean, sugar, cake batter, and frosting! It makes my mouth water. Mahogany Teakwood smells like mahogany, cedarwood and oak, lavender, and geranium. To me though it just smells like Abercrombie and Fitch! I got two mahogany teakwoods and one frosted cupcake so I could get the 3 for $10 deal.

If you were to just get one candle for the
rest of you life...make it this one!
I'm serious...

This to me is a very autumn/wintertime scent.
It's fun, yet sophisticated in a total non-old
granyish way! If they make this as a perfume
then I NEED to buy it!

I had a lot of fun doing this three part haul series with all of you! Please comment down below if this is the sort of thing you guys enjoy reading! Talk to you soon!

Thank you all so much!

Haul- Bluemercury and Rite Aid

Hey guys! Today is part two of my three day shopping spree! I know what you guys must be thinking... "Man...she shops a lot!" But I promise you I am very frugal with my money and I very rarely go on big shopping sprees like this. It's just a way to get away from some of the stress in my life but also to have fun and try new products. And I also love to help you guys out by giving you reviews on the products that I buy (in case you want to buy them too!).
So anyway the first store I went to was bluemercury. I know this isn't a very well known store everywhere because bluemercury is currently in only in about 12 states. But definitely check if there is one near you because they sell products from NARS, Clinique, Bobbi Brown, Kheils, Mario Badescu, Deborah Lipmann, and so much more. So the one and only thing I got there was the Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel. This is pretty expensive for a moisturizer, however I will say this...it's the only moisturizer that doesn't make me oilier than I already am. So that's why I love it.

This is the full/large size worth $25.
It's super moisturizing for oily/normal
skins but if you have dry skin there is also a
lotion version instead of the gel.

The second store I went to was Rite Aid. I was excited to go today to check out all the new products that hit the drugstores but surprisingly I didn't try any new products. Today I got four things from Rite Aid. I got two nail polishes; Sinful Colors 322 Let Me Go and Wet n Wild Night Prowl. I also got the Rimmel Soft Kohl Kajal Eyeliner pencil in Jet Black. Lastly I got the Rite Aid brand 10% benzoyl peroxide medicated acne treatment which is the exact same thing as the Clean and Clear persa gel and two dollars less!

Here is the number 322 and the name
"Let Me Go"
This is absolutely beautiful. When I saw it
I knew I had to get it. It's the most gorgeous
holographic polish with green, blue, purple,
and pink.

This is a really cool polish called
"Night Prowl" that is a black base with
purple sparkles.
I really hope that this will help with
combating my light/moderate acne. I think it will
but only time will tell. I can give you guys some
feedback later!

I'll do some reviews on these products later but for now I hope this little haul was helpful or at least fun to read.

Thank you all so much!

Haul- F21 & Sephora!

Hey you guys! I'm so excited to be back again. Hopefully none of you got bored while I was gone! Yesterday I went on a little shopping spree and today I'm super excited to show you what I got. The first place I went to was Forever 21. I got four articles of clothing which for me is a lot because I haven't been as into fashion as I am now. Anyway here is what I got...

This is a really cute mint green ombre effect shirt.

This is probably one of the most comfortable things
I have EVER worn in my life! I LOVE it.

This is a really cute navy colored sweater that says "El Capitan"

These are really nice lightweight thin skinny jeans
perfect for winter or even spring.

The last place I went to was Sephora. The only thing I got there was the Too Faced Natural Eye eye shadow palette. I'm excited to try this out and write a review for you guys on it. This is what it looks like...

Hope you all enjoyed my little haul! Please comment down below to tell me if you like this posts or if you have suggestions to any new posts you would like to see!

Review: Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette!

So today I wanted to review the Naked Basics Palette by Urban Decay. To all of you who were thinking of getting this palette I think it's really worth it!The packaging is very nice. Sort of rubbery like NARS packaging. All six colors are all pigmented and glide on the eye so nicely. Also Urban Decay doesn't test on animals which is great! I don't really want to spend a ton of time putting on eyeshadow so this palette makes getting a perfect matt neutral eye easy and quick. I love how the palette is SO tiny because it's so nice for traveling. Don't misunderstand though. You are getting six full size eye shadows! Here is a description of all the colors in the palette:
Venus: Although this is a matt palette, it does come with one shimmery/satin shadow and it's Venus. This color is gorgeous to add to an all matt look. It's a creamy white with tiny shimmer in it.
Foxy: This is a nice "all over the lid" color with a yellow tone to it.
Walk of Shame: This is just like foxy (a nice "all over the lid" color) except it has a pink tone to it.
Naked 2: I love this color and I think it's my absolute favorite in the whole palette. It's a really nice soft brown color that looks so good as a transition color.
Faint: This is a gorgeous medium brown that I apply over Naked 2 on the crease for the perfect look.
Crave: This next color is described as a dark brown but I personally think that it's more black. I use this in the outer "v" of the eye for a more dramatic look. I also use this to set my gel eyeliner and it works like a charm.

New Year's Resolutions!

So obviously this post is a little late (about 7 days late) but I thought it would still offer the same significance as it would at the actual beginning of the year. I really wanted to tell you all my New Year's resolutions.
1. Eat healthier. I really want to eat healthier to lose some weight and overall be healthier and live longer!
2. Keep my house (room especially) cleaner. This is really important because I sometimes suffer from stress and anxiety and it is proven that messy cluttered houses/rooms can cause stress so I'm hoping to keep everything clean to lessen my stress.
3. Be Nicer. This is something I really want to accomplish not just for me but for my family, friends, and everyone around me. I want to make people happy (or just not make them upset) by being nice to them. Especially in days like today when tons of people are bullying or being bullied I think it's really important to think how my actions, thoughts, or words can affect people.
4. Take any opportunity that comes my way. I'm the sort of person that wouldn't go to hang out with my friends because what we were going to do scared me like flying to take a really fun trip. This is something I really want to change about myself this year so I won't have any regrets.

I know some people think that New Year's resolutions are stupid or useless but I think it's a really fun and also exciting way to start the year. It makes me feel that the year is gonna be a great one with new adventures and stories to tell. If you guys have any New Year's resolutions I would love to know what they are so please comment down below.

Thank you all so much!

Review: Urban Decay De Slick Oil Control Makeup Setting Spray

Hey Everyone! The week is almost over YAY! Today I'm reviewing the Urban Decay De Slick spray. I bought this at Ulta last weekend when they put the XL sizes on clearance and I'm so happy I did because IT WORKS. That's all I really have to say haha! If any of you have oily skin then try this out and it can work for you! Another tip for oily skinned people out there is to use a gel moisturizer instead of a cream, mousse, or lotion. If you have oily skin then you don't need as much moisture as someone with dry skin would (obviously) so just use a gel moisturizer and it'll get the job done. So back to the setting spray. My routine with the setting spray is this:
1. Put on gel moisturizer
2. Apply the spray to my face (about 6 pumps)
3. Apply all makeup (except for eyes)
4. Spray face again (about 6 pumps)
5. Finish off with eye makeup

Now it doesn't really matter if you spray your face before or after your eye makeup because this product wont make the eye makeup drip, streak, fade, or anything like that. I LOVE this product and I will be repurchasing it.

Thank you all so much!

Awesome DIY Lip Scrub!

Hey guys! I Went back to school today and all I wanted to do was fall on the ground, curl up in a ball, and fall asleep! So yesterday I decided to scrub down my lips for extra soft lips and today I want to share my easy DIY (Do It Yourself) lip scrub with you guys. All it takes is two ingredients honey and brown sugar (you can also use plane sugar or salt). Take 1 tablespoon of brown sugar and add 1/2 a tablespoon of honey to that. Mix it all up until you get a sort of chunky paste out of that. Then all you have to do is apply it to your lips. Go in small circular motions back and fourth on the upper and lower lips. Make sure to be gentle or you'll hurt or cut your lips. After this wash off your lips with warm water and you can repeat the process once more for super soft lips. When all is said and done and you've rinsed and dried your lips put on your favorite lip balm or chap stick (in my case Vaseline). Having super soft kissable lips doesn't have to be expensive. You can use these two easy and common household ingredients can help you achieve the best lips of your life.

Thank you all so much!

Review: Laura Mercier Lip Glace in Baby Doll

Happy Tuesday all! Hope the beginning of your week has been good so far! Today I am reviewing the Laura Mercier Lip Glace in Baby Doll. First off the packaging is so sleek and nice and in my opinion professional looking. The gloss is so pretty. It's a soft baby pink with tons of sparkle. The only downside to this gloss is when you rub your lips together, you can actually feel the sparkles in the gloss, but that kind of thing doesn't really bother me. This lip color can literally be worn with any makeup look. With one coat it's a beautiful nude. However it can be built up to be a soft baby pink on the lips. I honestly love this product and I want more shades!

Thank you all so much!
