HUGE Collective Haul!

HEY GUYS! Hope all your February vacations are going well. So far mine has been very quiet and I've just been trying to take it easy and relax. That's why I haven't been posting in the past week...sorry. To make it up to you guys I thought I would do a little shopping (I know so generous right...haha) and then do a collective haul! So lets get right into it!
The first place I went to was Forever 21. The only things that I bought there was an adorable ivory knit top and a pair of jeans. I love these two items for a casual outfit and also mixing and matching.

The next store I stopped at was Sephora. While I was there I bought a box of brush guards and a primer trio of Tarte's Clean Slate Primers. As soon as I use these products I will do a review for you guys.

The next store I stopped in was Target. I got a few more things here than the other stores. First I got the Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3 in 1 foundation. There was such a huge hype about this product so I am going to try it out more and give a review on it. I also got a couple of mascaras. First was the Maybelline the Colossal Volum' Express in waterproof. I've tried this before and I remember liking it. However that was a long time ago and I think my feelings have changed. The second mascara I got was the L'Oreal Paris Voluminous Waterproof. This is the first time I've used it and I don't know if I like it. Again I will be doing reviews on both of these mascaras. Another thing I got was the Orabrush. I really like this so far and surprise surprise I will do a review on it. I will also be doing a review on the Colgate Optic White toothpaste that I also got at Target. I also wanted a new wallet so I looked through the purse section and found this really cute camel colored wallet.

The next store I went to was Rite Aid. I just got some essentials that I needed. The first thing is the TRESemme thermal Creations Heat protection. I've heard good things about this and really needed a heat protectant. The next thing is an eye makeup remover. I got the Rite Aid brand that is supposed to be comparable to the Neutrogena Oil-free one which I really like. I also got some boring cotton rounds and makeup remover towelettes. I also needed a makeup mirror so I got a cheap one by Conair. And lastly I got the Wet n Wild Mega Eyes Cream Eyeliner. Want a review? Well you're gettin' one.

I also went to Claire's. I thought to myself "How many years has it been since I've shopped at Claire's?" and realized it had been a lifetime, so I decided to check out was was new. I then realized walking in why I haven't shopped there in years...CHEAP. However I did find two things that I really like. I got a doughnut (to make the "perfect" bun) and I got a bun wrap. I can't wait to rock this look!

And finally the last store I went to was Victoria's Secret. I love this store. So the only thing I got was a black bra. Simple...nothing special. But I thought I would share it anyway.

Hope you all enjoyed this haul! Let me know in the comments if you guys enjoy hauls and also let me know if you guys want me to try out something and review it.

Thank you all so much!

Review: Maybelline New York Great Lash Clear Mascara

Hey guys what's up?! Hope you're all as excited as I am for tomorrow! Haha. So today I wanted to review for you all the Maybelline New York Great Lash Clear mascara. I love this product. It doesn't seem like much when you're looking at it in the store but then you acutally start to use it and realize how handy it is.

I use this product for multiple things. First off I use it as a brow gel. It works great at this. Ill brush the eyeshadow or pencil onto my brows and then I'll put a very small amount of the clear mascara on and it makes my brows last for hours! I also enjoy using this clear mascara for any flyaways that I have. It's perfect for that but just make sure again to use a small amount or your hair will look shiny and crunchy. Not cute! This is also a great "starting out" mascara. If you are young or new to makeup, then starting out with a clear mascara will define each lash and make them a bit darker, but it won't be as drastic as never wearing mascara and then the next day your lashes are pitch black!
Hope you enjoyed this short little review on the Maybelline Great Lash Clear mascara. Tell me down below what you guys use clear mascara for!

Thank you all so much!

Review: Maybelline New York Cover Stick

Hey Guys! Today I am going to be reviewing for you all the Maybelline New York Cover Stick concealer. I bought this product about three months ago from Ulta and surprisingly haven't used it all that much until about a month and a half ago. Since my using it though I believe that this is a pretty good concealer. I bought two in the colors Ivory and White. I will admit that I am not in love with these concealers. I have to be careful with how much I put on because it can cake up fast. And that ain't cute! However I will say that the color payoff is I think really good. The concealer sticks are creamy, apply easily, and blend out nicely.

The Ivory shade isn't Ivory at all. In fact it is darker than me (someone with a bit darker skin than ivory). If you have a slight tan I think this shade might work for you but if you do in fact have ivory colored skin, I would buy the color White. When I first saw this color I got kind of scared because it really does look white. I bought thinking "Oh I can just wear this under my eyes or as a highlight" but now that I look at it on my skin, it's not all that white. In fact it has a very nice pink undertone to it.

I think that if you're new to makeup or just need a cheaper concealer then this can work for you. Please comment down below and tell me your thoughts on this product!

Thank you all so much!

Review: Neutrogena Skin Clearing Oil Free Makeup

Hey guys! Long time no type! Today I thought I would give you guys a review on the Neutrogena Skin Clearing Oil Free foundation. This is the foundation that I am currently using so I thought it would be helpful to give my opinion on this since not a ton of people talk about this foundation.

This bottle contains 1 FL OZ. (30 mL)
In the drugstore this will run about $12

First of the color I am (sort of) is number 20 natural ivory. I say sort of because it's not a perfect match but it's not so off that I can't wear it. Anyway so the four main points that I want to cover with this foundation are coverage, blendability, color selection, and lasting power. For each of the main points that I am going to cover I will include a score from 1-10 (1 being bad, 10 being great).
Coverage:
The coverage with this foundation, I would say, is about light to medium. Nothing more than that. So my suggestion is that if you have decent skin with mild acne then this might be the foundation for you. However if you have a ton of dark blemishes or acne that you want to cover, than this is not for you.
Score: 4
Blendability:
The blendability with this foundation is overall okay. It's not terribly hard to blend out this foundation, but it's not the easiest to blend either.
Score: 5
Color selection:
I believe that this type of foundation only comes with six colors total. I am not completely sure so don't quote me or anything but from what I've seen in the stores and online, the color selection is pretty slim. Unfortunately this is a problem for many so hopefully if you've been wanting to try this foundation out you can find you color. As I said "my color" isn't even my color (if that makes any sense) so I'm kind of disappointed with this.
Score: 5
Lasting power:
Overall I think that this foundation lasts a good amount of time. After my classes I will come home and then take off my makeup to workout so I usually don't need my foundation to last that long. However on the days that I go to work, I still find most of the foundation is still on my face. I say most because this definitely does not stay on my face all that well but I blame that on my oily skin.
Score: 6

Wow! Now that I look at all the scores that I gave this foundation, I kind of realized that I'm not such a huge fan. I don't hate this foundation by any means. I think for a casual going to school/work/friends house day, this is a perfectly fine foundation.

Thank you all so much!

Money Saving Face Primer!

Hey hey hey! Just thought I'd do a quick review today on a product that sounds really weird at first but I have grown to love. This product is the Monistat Chafing Relief Powder- Gel.

This bottle contains 1.5 oz (42g) of product.

It claims to relieve chafing by the inner thigh and bikini area. I don't actually know if this works for that purpose because I don't use it on my thighs, I use it on my face. Yes, I said it, my face. At this point some of you are probably wanting to exit out right now but don't be weirded out. I've been using this on my face for a little less than a year now and I have to say, this product is a GREAT face primer.
It does the same thing that a "real" face primer would do except, you know, it's not made for your face. Don't worry thought I haven't had any weird reactions or breakouts from this, it's completely safe.
What I do is, after I wash my face and moisturize, I put about a medium blueberry sized dot on my finger tip and then lightly rub it all over my finger tips. Then I'll put the powder-gel on my right finger tips on my forehead and I'll then put the rest on the rest of my face.
This product evens out my skin texture while also minimizing some shine that I already have on my skin. If you want a no/little makeup day, primer is definitely something you can skip. But for a day you will be wearing foundation I do think it's a really good idea to keep some primer in your makeup stash.
The great thing about this product is that it does the same thing that a "real" primer does while also (generally) being cheaper than a drugstore primer.
I recommend that you all try this product out to see if you like it just as much as I do!

Thank you all so much!

Review: Maybelline New York Define A Brow!

Hey guys what's up? Hope the beginning of your week has been going well so far. Today I thought I would review a product that I've been using for quite some time now and it is the Maybelline New York Define A Brow eyebrow filler pencil. I really like this product. It is a twist up pencil stick in a green tube with a brush at the end and a brown cap. I think for the price, this is an awesome product. It makes my brows look full and youthful and best of all natural. It stays for hours and for me that's all I really need. I know that even on a little to no makeup day, brushing some of this on my brows will instantly give me a "put together" look. I really recommend that you all try this product. Even if you are really experienced with brow filling or you're just starting out, this is a really good product to try.
Tip: use a brush with harder bristles to best apply this. DON'T just use the stick itself and brush it on or it won't look natural.

Thank you all so much!

Update on My Life!

Hey guys hope you're all having a very happy Friday! I know that I'm super glad that it's the end of the week. So today I was thinking about doing a review but I decided to save that for another day. Today I want to give you all a little inside scoop on my life. As you might know from my "New Year's Resolutions" post, one of my goals for this year is to lose some weight and get fit. I want to live a long and happy life and exercising and eating right is the way I'm gonna get there!
So on Monday the 21st I started a whole new workout routine that before recently, I never saw myself doing. It's harder than any other at home workout I have ever done. And believe me I've done plenty. This workout is rough, tough, and it's completely mind blowing. It's crazy, it's exhausting, and I'll give you a hint as to what it is...It's INSANE. That's right. If you haven't guessed the workout by now, it is the INSANITY by Shaun T workout.
Let me tell you all a little bit about the INSANITY workout. First off as I said...it's tough...really tough. It combines cardio, strength training and so on to get you an insanely ripped and toned body. It utilizes interval training (quickening your heartbeat and then slowing your heartbeat) to get the best results. I can see from Shaun T himself but also from the other people working out with him (in the videos) that you really do see amazing results. However I will say this...you cannot just decide one day "I think I'm gonna do the INSANITY workout. Sounds like fun!" Yeaaaaah.....NO. You can't expect to go from couch potato to the next day doing these workouts. They are really, really hard and they seriously recommend that you consult your doctor before starting this workout. I'm not trying to discourage you if you've been wanting to try this workout system out, but it is a warning to all. You should be in at least (In my non-professional opinion) okay shape to start these workouts.
So when I got these videos I'm not gonna lie I was actually scared. I procrastinated and procrastinated and then procrastinated some more and then...I started the workout...
The first day was a toughie. And so was the second. The third...yeah kinda. But now I'm on my fourth day although it was ALL cardio today, I have to say, it's getting progressively easier to do. I can't wait until the two months are over to see my results, but I actually look forward to going home everyday and working out (something I never thought I would say). But hey, as Elle so nicely put it "Exercise gives you endorphins. Endorphins make you happy." And it's so true. I feel good after my workout (despite the aches, pains, and fatigue) and I'm so proud of myself for doing something good for my body.
I 100% recommend to people (who are capable) to start this INSANE workout. From just four days I feel better than I have in a long time. Thank you Shaun, and thank you INSANITY!
Let me know in the comments down below if you guys are interested in my "getting fit" journey and want to see my new measurements and weights.

Thank you all so much!
